Educational Supports

I offer academic and socio-emotional support which integrates my 19 years of work as a progressive educator with a New York State Dual-Certification in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6) and Teaching Students with dis/Abilities (Grades 1-6), my training in Somatic Experiencing® (SE) and BASE™ Relational Bodywork and my interests in play and project work.

In working with clients, I begin by exploring one’s strengths. I invite clients to play and bring a sense of play into the work that we do. Play helps to restore regulation so that one’s body can return to its natural flow, and feel safety and ease again. And as one comes to knows oneself and build one’s capacity, we can use that wisdom and those resources to venture into more challenging or unknown areas, as a way to re-create past versions of oneself and build on a future self.

I specialize in working with:

  • Children/ Adolescents

  • Adults

  • ADHD

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Behavioral Issues

  • Birth Trauma

  • Early Childhood Attachment Disturbances

  • Developmental Trauma

  • Relational/Relationship Issues

  • Intergenerational Trauma

I also work to support families to work with the school to think about how to bring the individual work we do into the classroom. In particular, I help families and teachers think about what is feasible in a classroom setting.
